All of these mistakes happen, and anyone that does not commit them does not fish and catch fish.

I assume your replying to Earls mistake thread?
if so i agree 100% when your fighing a big fish all sorts of things are going on real fast and your bound to make mistakes....but you need to tell yourself to calm down and focus. but ya i agree all of them mistakes can a do happen to the best of fisherman.

i got a good one for ya.....i was running some water threw the gills of a flathead to release when my penn 155 was screaming had to run over to it...was watching the newly spooled cajun red reel peel off ...i had this one set the hook hard...giambi would have been proud.....and so would benny hill.......i forgot to engage the gears......oh @%!% i said it was a mess......needless to say i tried reeling in the fish with hands...man what a job......she finally got loose...so yeh i admitt it i made a mistake.... :oops:
