Dang you guys sure do answer my questions fast...whew weee.

I was curious if anyone has used artificial bait sprays to scent your live baits. I fish with live goldfish often and was wondering if anyone has had any luck with the store-bought sprays; if so what kind?

I have heard that the crawfish-oil based spray works well.

i have only found one thing that has worked not to say that it helped but it didnt hurt..... was ultra bite.... kamart has it not bad stuff....i have put it opn my gills and goldfish.....they make a few other things im gonna try this year...shad oil and such....anise oil seems to work for the carp and blues.....  seems to me channels cats are not near as picky as the flatheads, so they tend to fall for fake atractans...imo more than the bigger flatties...

I wouldnt waste my time and money if your fishing for flatheads. However, I will occasionally soak cutbait in menhedan oil.. but thats just a natural oily shad smell.

I really appreciate your responses. Yeah I put a few drops of anise oil on fresh carp some time the night before I go out and bait up.

I was just wondering if there was anything you guys have found that works good.

Live bait in itself is the best without an attractant I guess.
