I know people use all kinds of baits for blues but I stick to fish of some sort. So far White Perch are such a great bait that I use them more than any other fish. I will use shad and herring if I can catch them in the cast net which isn't always that easy.

I like to use whole white and yellow perch when I can get them. Bluegill, herring and live eel. Have used shad cuts before but for some reason I do not have any luck with them.
