has ne 1 ever used catalpa worms if not u ought to try them if ure lucky enough to find them they work great for me here ecspecially in the lakes never tried them to much in the rivers though

i used to pinch their heads off and thread them inside out and use them that way....they were great for channels

and if you try to buy them most of the time you will pay around 10 dollars a dozen ...... but each one really gurantees a fish :  : :  : 8)

i aint buying them when i no where to find them we they were there last year ne ways i hope there this year too if they r we will go get us some and go catch some fish hehehe

well if you are lucky enough to find them on a tree they wll be back there every year so just remember where you found them

Glad to see this post, found quite a few trees with them last year so have to keep a close watch out, I'm sure there are others around here that watch for them too. I got permission for the property so all is good, I hope.

Baitfish that was a excellent link thanks for posting that 8) ! Very informative article, I have fished with Catalpa Worms quite a bit with limited success and that article cleared up the reason's why.

I've them two or three time with no luck. I'm not giving up on them just yet though. I have 4 trees in the front yard and 4 in the back yard but they are still small trees. They was starting to have leaves and then the cold killed the leaves. I hope they make it through this because I want to use the worms this year.
