woohoo! lol well #6 i reckon it depends on what part of the country you live in what its called..ive herd it called many things including a hickory shad but i dont think that is the correct name..it is a type of shad tho!.although it kind alooks like a herring to me

also..number 1 is what we have here {a skipjack herring}
blue backs are about the same thing aint they? ive herd them called blue back exspecially further south east.

#6 yeah,Im not totally sure about that one.We have always called them quillback suckers and they are very common around here.They have a sucker mouth,but its not as down turned or pronounced as it is on the red horse suckers#2.

oops i ment to say #7...anywho the site i got it from had it labeld as an american shad. i always thought american shad where a bit more "round" like a gizard shad..ever other pic that came up when i typed in american shad looked like gizzards to me.

do the hickory shad get as big as american shad and can ya catch em on jigs like ya can american shad or herring? not sure if we have them in this section of the Ohio..ive only seen gizzards,threadfin{i think that what they are} and skipjack.
