yeh the pic i found on the net came form the watts barr site in tn....we have some decent ones....but tank and earl showed me some of the biggest shad i had ever seen.......

YEAH BABY!!! Now thats a shad!! :lol: We have them that big here too,but we dont catch them all that much in the cast nets. :grin:

yeh i would chunk that big bad boy up ........wouldnt mind having some big ones like that...yeh a lot of people really prefer the 3or 4 " ones rather than the big ones......i guess its just preference and what works for each indiviadual

shoot! id lop the head off rite at the gills then lop that tail off and stick a big ole circle hook in it and toss it out than slap that head on another hook and toss that un out too :)

heck yeh......i usually go big more than small......id rather go after the monsters anyday.....last year thats why i had more skunks than id like but hey i want the big boys....ill take a few skunks just to get a nice cat

Oops! That first one I posted might be a tad on the small size. My bad. Heres a decent sized one....still a might small tho. I don't have any pics of the really big ones.

Ive seen them in the Delaware river in Jersey pushing 6lbs before but the fish dont seem to target them with all the other species of shad and herring in the river
