If someone has post some thing simular to this (sorry)
Road kill has several applications for fishing one way is to just cut up for bait but another is a lonjg term chum device expecially now that the flies are out and it is getting warm. Take a meduim size road kill and make some large slices in it and hang it from a tree limb over the water pretty some maggots wil start faling into the water  and atracting fish . It wil be a great plave to catch gills and if you have worked out the smell down wind factor a pretty god place for flatties.
