Shad Gut
Take a treble hook and wrap fresh shad gut around it hooking it slightly to the hook.  Then take a 3 inch sliver of shad and wrap it around the hook creating a cup effect to hold the shad gut in.   Run the barbs of the hook up through the meat of the shad so when you set the hook, the sliver comes loose.  Use anywhere from a ½ ounce sinker to a 1 ½ run up the line and just tie the hook on with a Palomar knot is all you need.
