i know a lot of guys like to keep shad  and other fish alive.. i have found with a nice lil aerator and cool water not to cool for shad they will stress out and die. but adding this does help and anything that we can get the edge on with having more lively bait flopping in the water will help bring mr whiskers in... i really like this shad keeper... you can order it for bps   it will have a lot of uses.... may want to give it a try .. i have found that it works well  a lot better than having nothing at all...

I have often wondered that myself.....Its full of electrolites that may be a deficiency in catfish that would add an extra bit of attraction. It seems like I do better when using the shad keeper,as opposed to just using river water in my bait tank. I think I may conduct a baitfish challenge taste test in the catfish community, and see what results I get.

Good stuff----I would think the salt would be an attracter, plus it promotes the slim coat which in itself must have a lot of scent.
