I have been looking for skip jack EVERYWHERE here in Missouri, the only place I found it was in a small bait store in the Ozarks and it was frozen............? Any suggestions ?

Go catch them in the river, they are better fresh if they are in your waters, they are fun to catch.

we're with you catfish. we've been targeting them and mooneye here on the upper mississippi and cannot find them anywhere!!!  sad part is i know they are in the river because guys do thrownet them. i guess we'll just keep trying. we have also used jigs with NO luck as well!!!it sure does get frustrating after awhile not finding them though.

i know for targeting bait fishies find places like concrete walls big rocks and anything alge can grow on since alge is their main source of food you will cathch them on jigs etc.... but why catch one at a time when you could catch dozens if you have access to a boat just cruze at lower speeds till you find what looks like a big vibrating patch on top of the water you will often see their tails break the surface also throw in that patch of water and you will have them and if you have a dam that you can access on the river they hold up there also i have seen alot of people do these things and find more bait in one day than they and their buddies can use in a summer its a verry neat sight seeing a cast net full of shad and skip jacks
