what types and brands of store bought baits have worked for you? such as dip, punch, dough or whatever it may be. i was looking at catfish connections website today and decided to check out the types of baits they had and was amazed at the selection of baits out there.
id like to set up some sort of experiment to see which are the best, i bought an assortment of jars and jugs and packages to try out and i plan on trying at least some sort of store bait every time i go out to see which one is the best to fill up on eaters. i cant really say ive ever used any store bait with much faith but with the selection out there i figured at least one would work.

The only store bought baits I've had any success with are the dip baits. Hog Wild Premo, Junnie's Cattracker and Sonny's.

Strike King has come out with several catfish baits, and Ive tried a few of them, but never got a bite on any of it.

"Sonnys" and "Bowkers" are about the only 2 I've tried. I've caught tons of eaters off the Bowkers

The only stinkbait I have used is when I forget some shad in the bed of my truck.

the only prepared bait i have ever succeeded with is called magic bait u can get it at walmart  it comes in all sorts of flavors the only place i have used it is in the lakes seems like the current in river always washes it off  but if u get a chance try it i always use chicken blood and grasshopper flavor

Watched a show last night and they used Strike King catfish dynamite. They were pulling in some huge channels.

well ive been using this stuff since last Wednesday about everyday until yesterday when i decided to give it all away yesterday evening. i tried DK punch bait, sonnys original dip bait, hog wild dip bait, wicked sticky and magic bait my totals on this stuff is this..catfish 0 turtles 2.
weve been tearing channels up on cut shad, nightcrawlers and even shrimp but no luck on the stinky stuff so i think im done experimenting with the stuff and will stick with what i know works. i gave it all to a friend of mine and he says he will put it to good use so i told him to keep me updated and let me know when he catches somthing on that stuff.....now i just gotta find a way to get this nasty smell off my hands

the best water conditions i have ever used the magic catfish bait is in warm waters like mid summer when water temps are very warm i guess when the water is warm the smell releases better

it must be warmer there than here kris. if i tried to use them right now it would be like trying to put a brick on the hook. until it gets so darn hot you can cook an egg on your boat deck none of them have much luck. cut shad and mackeral seem to work better this time of year. (or pretty much anything dead really)
