Alright here me out a friend of mine showed me this years ago only tried it a couple of times. What you do is get an ice cube tray a treble hook for each slot thread the liver on to the treble and place in cube tray repeat till full. let freeze. take tray with you fishing in cooler with plenty of ice. have a swivel on line so when changing hooks is quick and easy. Also you can get the liver out much further without it falling right off hope this helps in the hot weather

Ive also heard of some anglers using empty pill bottles the same way youre using the ice cube trays.
