Effects of percipitation?

Hey I had a question for some of the more seasoned guys/gals here. This summer has been very dry and hot. We just had a pretty big storm (temp dropped about 5 degrees and rained hard for about 3-4 hours). What sort of effects would this have on catfish?

if wouldnt change the ater temp that much but it will raise the o2 level a lil bit and also if it raises the water level a bit i find that the bite is pretty good then....... depending on how much the rain you got..?

You know I've had some really good catches right after a hard storm, and had zilch to show for my efforts the next time out, I think ya outtta go ask mr whiskers whether hes hungry or not :roll:
