I am new to your site. So with that in mind I will tread lightly about what I have been reading on your post lately. First it's fishing guys so light-n-up :!:  Next I know some of you depend on the river for your means of income, This has to be respected by all of us who use the river for recreational purposes. Why,  because it's the right thing to do.  As sportsmen we have or should have  a moral obligation to preserve our fishing heritage and rights as citizens of the United States. With that in mind go fishing, have a good day, show us some pictures of your catch with your smiling face attached and leave the rest alone. Because the rest don't matter. So in closing I will Quote a famous president Dwight D. Isenhower who once told his security advisor "NEVER ALLOW YOURSELF TO MISS AN OPPORTUNITY WHEN GIVEN THE CHANCE TO KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT. for me it's just that simple. Thanks for listening and "See you on the water"

I did 5 cruises on the mighty mighty warship USS Dwight David Eisenhower CVN-69  for 6 months at a time ....... and I dont think Ole IKE said that......... as a matter of fact the guy that said that was named - Robert Newton Peck

I can name you over a 100 that he did say, but thats not one of them.

I was more than that trying to make a point.  I served on the Uss Ranger out of San Diego the USS America out of Norfolk  and the Uss Carl Vinson out of Alameda california from 1976 to 1987 I worked V-2 division and was a cat and gear man I got out a ABE Chief Pettyofficer to spend time with my family. Thanks for serving  Vince ........ I remember when I was in bootcamp the saying on the wall of the chow hall and I scrubbed dished for 25,000 MF'rs every morning.......I have no clue who stated it but it was way back when like Winston Churchill or from that day & age anyway.......it said:

I wish to have no connection with any ship that does not sail fast,
for I intend to go in harms way.

I love that -
