I got the rod holders mounted now.  I put 8 down each side. I plan to make a bar to run across the back at a point in time later on. Right now Im ready for some slim. I had to run back by the dealership yesterday because they forgot to give me the linear switch. First thing the guy said as we was pulling up was he couldnt take it back because we had done put a sticker on it. (referring to the mastercatter sticker on the center console). I had several commits about that sticker yesterday so it shows up quiet well....lol. Boat ran fine as we tried to seat the rings. I notice a jet drive really dont have a neutral position. Its always turning so my mind was jumping because it was real slow in the neutral position and pretty quiet since its a four stroke. Might have to test that on them calm days drifting. Heres a couple pictures of the rod holder setup. I was really pleased with the rod holder bases my uncle Bryan(tourney partner) made for me. He done a great job fitting them to that round tube.

Chris it didnt seem too bad but I havent filled it back up yet. I filled it up the day I brought it home and it held 24 gallons and was a cool 96.50. We was playing around too with it. Had to fill that livewell up and make sure it come out of the hole....lol. We rode around for about 2 hours and I dont think the guage read below 3/4 tank but you cannot go by that sometimes. Ive heard the jets do take some gas to run though. Also heard they was loud too but this one is alot quieter than my 2 stroke prop boat.  Main difference I see is turning is a little slower and its not real strong on take off.

I think that was worth a point for CMJ  grin  I hope there is something under the rod bases like a back up plate,,,,otherwise they can be torn out.

I agree Jim. They are tight now but once they get loose...they get loose fast. Im going to bolt them all the way through now. Im going to get some nylon nuts for the bolts and add a washer to the bottom. Its either that or weld them on.

I personally checked out that boat yesterday. It passed my inspection. Should be a nice catting boat. Sorry CMJ but that boat was built for catching big fish, not alot of small ones. It should be called THE BIGCAT ADVENTURER.

I would build a plate that would pass encompass about a 6 inch area, then using the nylon lock nut on the bottom,,,I've just seen to many rod holders ripped out by the roots to trust sheet metal screwed into aluminum
