a buddy and me were out fishing sunday for saugeyes and he landed 7 channel cats on Vibe-E blade baits  from the Tusc River in Ohio (the biggest one was a 10 lb 11 oz).

i got skunked !!! tickedoff

as soon as the ice came off of the lakes i started catching channel cats on cut shad here in Ohio. No real big fish but alot of nice eatin sized channels  !!

I have been catching them all winter.  Out of 254 fish caught this year so far I would guess that 175 of them are channel cats.  Waters are warming now and the channel bite is picking up alot.

I haven't been out around here yet, the rivers and lakes are too high to put my boat in. I did take a trip over on the james earlier but the bite was slow there.
