how do yall clean your channels? i usually fillet em and just cut the fillets into chunks. do you just cut off th ehead gut and pull skin off or do you fillet?

yep its filleting them for me. nobody likes to pick through bones if you dont have to (including me). and its alot safer for small kids too so they dont swallow a bone on accident

No electric Knifein this household.... I myself let the chef do the fileting :lol: :lol: :lol: lol.... can he clean mine also... i usally run a nail threw the head and then pretty much do the same..skin them then fillet!

I nail them to a tree (through the head), cut through the skin round the head and peel it down the length of the fish. Then cut the filets off the sides. Yummy.
Question: I usually only eat the little guys I catch. How big to do all go?

I skin them them fillet them, that way I leave the belly meat on the carcass.
