well i gave the cats one more try last night for my clubs catfish tournament. i hadnt caught a cat in a long time and decided to give it one more try !! i fished in about 12-14 ft of water around a large wood pile, we fished from 6 pm to midnight in Cold Temps !! i had ONE bite all night on a fresh cut shad at about 930 and landed a nice 5 lbs 2 oz channel cat and that was it !!! i was happy to at least have something to turn in for the tournament, got back to weigh ins and ended up finishing 4th place !!! i missed the big fish award by just a hair over a pound !!! i was actually surprised most guys caught one or two fish but just like me had very few other bites !!!

Way to go on the catch. They are still out there , just harder to locate. The bite down here in Chillicothe has also sloooooowed down. Wanted to go out today but had lots of rain. Am going to keep trying untill iceup! keep trying up there.
