When do the channels go on spawn in your area...Its getting close here.

hi. i find it improbable for any catfish spawning in april-here in mn-its always june at the earliest around my parts!-gl to you

yep it's generally the middle of april, but with the temps down to 0 degrees right now it is going to set us back a couple weeks for sure.

does anybody know what water temp activates the spawn? I find the fist two weeks of june to be good here.

You could always count on the channel Spawn to commence on the 10th of May on the Shenandoah up at Harpers Ferry WV  :grin:

In this area it is mid to late April through the early part of May for channel cats. Blues come later at the end of May through about the 3rd week of June.
