All of the Questions you are asking are explained in many posts in many sections.  If you have a key word for an item do a search.  Do a little digging and you'll save yourself some time and get alot more varied info.   READ READ READ

well i did try the search and like you said not with much luck.
so i just try to think of all the things i would like to know more about and type them out.

i am new to large river fishing and any help i can get is very welcomed.
also i felt it was faster for me to ask and see what responce i got  rather than try to find an old post and read it.
not that i have not already read alot of them but i must have skipped over a few of my questions along the way...
but i love the site and all the help i have received thus far...
                                  thank you.

Fishing is what matters on the Catters

Ron , Fishing-mama and I normally use 5/0 - 6/0 in either black or blood red. The reason for these is because the fish around here do not get as large as in other areas.  We do have some up to 10/0 but haven't had any luck using those yet. A couple of runs but no hookups. Hope this helps.   KEEP asking questions as there are no dumb ones!!!!

Daiichi Circle Chunk Lights 7/0. Expensive at nearly $4 for three, but I love em. Well worth the extra expense.

I like the Owners in 10/0 for blues, but I also use Gamakatsu 7/0 and 8/0 for channels.

I still have a lot of them in my box GAMO 8/0 . Then it just got harder to get my hands on them. So i just change up. These or easier To get plus i like the hook set you get from them.

I like the 8/0 gama's but have switched to the 10/0 owners and like them even better. I would like to try even bigger hooks but just can't see spending $5 to $10+ for one hook.

Where does everyone get their 10/0 owners from and at what price?
