They're still ticking, but they sure ain't clicking.  :wink: Clickers won't stay engaged. I do like the new handle they have on them. They're worth the $35, but I wouldn't go as far as to say they compare to an Abu. And I'm not a big Abu fan.

Mike and I fish in complete darkness and rely on clickers to alert us of bites.

This is difficult enough when catydids and locusts sound like our clickers but if the clickers aren't very loud we must strain and worry all night.

Also with Abus going into gear if a chipmunk or mouse runs into the handle at night it makes us nervous.

BTW
Those fancy handles won't fit on regular Abus---I tried to put one on a 6500 to make it feel more like a TC.

Bass Pro shops is also selling a 6500 knock off in 2 different sizes. I haven't heard any reviews of these reels but Bass Pro Shops should have better customer relations than e-bay sellers do.
