welp catfish connection has there "black cat" reels in now....purty good lookin reel, i reckon its just the standard C3 6500 model with the same engraving the older "trophy collection" reels had,but it does have all the new 2007 upgrade such as the carbon drag,V spool and what not. price was like $84 bucks,be a good little reel to stick on a ugly stick tiger lite.

well i was gonna get 2 one fer usin an one fer collectin but reckon im gonna use the money for the second one to buy a rod to put the first one on lol might buy a second one in a month or so.

Its too hard for me to put a new reel on the shelf,so for now,Ill just keep collecting catfish with them. :lol:

i have a C3 6500 - used it once and on 4 rods now and none seem comfortable. just another one for the shelf !!

ya once ya get use to them big penns and shimanos when ya pick up a smaller reel like a 6500 ya almost feel like your gonna break it lol

I got 4 of the old ones but the blackkats look good I just bought a 6000 to put on a preadotor rod but wished I knew about the black cats. It would be nice if I could find a St Croix classic cat used to put it on.

I just got a 6500C4LE yesterday! I did sell a reel on EBAY though, looks like I am going to have to put an order in!!!!

you get ready to go out and buy somthign then ya get to the store and find somthing ya want more..yuppers that me lol i do it everytme...i ended up getting a 7000cs pro rocket to match my 6500cs pro rocket. maybe ill get a black cat in a month or 2 when im done licking my wounds afte rthe wife beats me for buying that reel lol

Here is a thread I started on the website alot of us Ohio guys are members of .

Well I got my newest reel today. It's very nice and feels so much better than a standard 6500. I mounted it on a Custom Flathead rod made by Jim "Gator" Hudson and spooled it w/ 30# Copolymer Vicious Ultimate line.

The power handle feels better than 6500-7000's I have.

It has the "V" spool
