Probably depends a lot on boat size and current/bottom. When I saw Tim use his he just drooped it, tied off, and was anchored. I hear good things about them, I just wouldn't want to spend that much on one, then wind up loosing it. I like my 13lb fluke. Works great in mud, but has a little trouble with rocky bottom. Might have to drag in the rocks a little to hang it sometimes.
