We have set trot lines in the New River for around 15 years now...believe it or not we catch more fish off of a white leader rope then we do a black or brown leader. Why? I have no idea you would think it would be the total opposite but its not. It is a clear river a lot of times as well.

I fish the same New River as you MudKatXpress and seen the same results with trotlines....I have not fished with a trotline for several years but we caught many flatheads and channels on them with white leaders, and the New River stays clear most of the time.

if the fish is hungry they will bite
just like a man once said the best bait there is is the one you fish with most often
so every bodies oppinion is different some like hi vis some like low vis
but either way i dont think one is better than the other
like mine my favorite is cajun red but i am not downing any body elses oppinion
if it catches fish for you then i say stick to it

I've caught big flatheads on hi vis,low vis, and clear line...

I've never really tallied the percentage up, but honestly i believe if your fishing the right location's at the right time it doesn't matter...

Do you all really believe those fish are that smart to scream to there buddy's "OH MY GOD< DON"T BITE THE HI VIS LINE"

If they were that smart they would be giving us identity theft.... ( They would be on our computer's reading our post )

I hope you understand my sarcastic post.

Fish with whatever you feel comfortable with !!!
