only use kahals on the spinning outfits, and they are baitrunner, 5/0 to 10/0 eagle claw but all are modified by me to work better, that is a tidbit yet to be released

mainly use the eagle claws my favorite for live baits are the 4/0-6/0 kahles made by eagle claw preferably the SS ones with the turned eyes then for larger cut baits and huge live baits i like the eagle claw king kahles in 8/0 and 10/0.

Kahles from 5 - 10 0tt's. Unless fishing in the Ocean. Yes Sir, Free Spool with the bait alert on. Just a note to add about the free spool mode be sure you take the bait alert(clicker) OFF when you set your hook. It will stay LOUD and last longer if you do.

Don..  We have all made that mistake and a very hard bad habit to break!   I normally use a 5/0 or 7/0 kahle since I have an aggressive hook set style.  It really depends upon what type of bait and how much for the size of hook vs the size of fish I am going after.

I use eagle claw nickle plated kahles 5/0 - 7/0 and eagle claw black king kahles from 8/0 - 10/0. I match the bait size to the hook size and the aggressiveness of the bite on any particular day will also determine hook size. I always set the clickers with the only exception being in swift water. Theres no more addicting sound than hearing that clicker especially when it's a slow steady run.
