I have read on another catfish board where some people were having problems with new Penn levelwind reels (they were talking about gear problems and clicker problems).....some were talking about the Penn 220 GTO like it was junk. I never had any problem with my 220 on any of my 209's and they are new, I just wanted to know if any of you had problems with any of the Penn's you own. I don't think there is a better reel built for flathead fishing...thats my opinion. Is the quality of the new Penn's not as good as the older models?

Most of the problems are from improper "bearing/bushing" cap adjustments....but I'll let chef jim explain
