I use PowerPro Braided Line on my cat poles. I have been using the mossy green color, but am thinking about changing over to the 100 lb test RED line. Any comments on this?

Expect the red line to "Bleed" for the first few times

Just ask Scooter he has used it.

I use the Green myself with Cajun Red 50 pound leader

I use nothing but the red PowerPro....as my main line. I use Cajin Red or Berkley Big Game for my leader.   Nice to see you made it out of retirement CajinTim!!!  cheesy :2stupid:

Why go red for catfishing other than for the novelty? The catfish don't care what color the line is and probably never see it unless your fishing really clear water. If you fish at night and want to be able to see your line, your screwed with the red. I use the 80 lb yellow Powerpro. It's more visible than the green and easier to see in low light when checking the lay of my lines going out of the boat, and when tying knots. Easier to spot frays as well. The red has it's place- for clear water fishing, or saltwater. I just don't see any advantage to using it for catfish. I mentioned a few disadvantages.

Hey Greg....you are right about the visibility at night. I just watch for my rod to get buried...lol  I think the reason that I use red is because it is one of the "newer" lines on the market and I got burnt bad with some old green PowerPro. The red has only been out for a little over a year so I know it iwll not have been sitting on a shelf somewhere for years.
