Any of you use the Tiger Lite series rods? I have the regular tiger rods and like them also....I seen on the catfish connection they have the tiger lite in heavy action rated up to 40# line and fuji aluminum oxide guides cork handle with trigger. If any of you have these rods whats your thoughts, would they make good flathead rods?  cool

I dont have any of them but i have felt them at bass pro shops and the action seems the same with the only difference being the smaller cork handle which i like the feel of myself. Its a tiger rod so i dont think you can go wrong with em.

love mine. caught 3 cats over 40# with it the fall before last and one over 50#. great rods with lots of back bone. they are heavy action rods just have the toned down grip with cork tape on em.

MadKatter, what size reel do you have on your tiger lite rods? Will a Penn 209 work OK?

I had a 209 on my regular tiger rod.  i feel this combo is used best out of a boat.  with your tiger lite though you should be able to cast a decent distance from the bank.
