I'm sure several of you have a favorite hook, but here's one I would like to suggest and I know several other guys that are switching over to them.  Team Catfish dual action 8/0 is the next size up from the Daichi 7/0 but only with the exclusive Team Catfish brand.  Its made by TTI Blakemore the same makers of the Daichi that has been so successful by big name guides and pro's across the nation.  Not only can you order them directly from Team Catfish you can also add them to your order with Cabela's and Catfish Connection...so the next time you place an order, get 4 or 5 packs and add them to your tackle.  Take it from me, this is a gotta have item in your tackle box I think I will even set up a few flathead rods with them this year and hold on !!!!

The Dual action circle hooks are Kinda a cross between a kahle and a circle, allowing for a bigger peice of bait with alot more point exposure.I started using the team catfish circles a few months ago,and my hookup ratio went through the roof.

Bob, since you dont have an abundance of big cats where you fish,,I would suggest the 5/0 VMC Sureset circle hook, I know cabelas carries them and sometimes you can find them in other stores, they are catfish catchiness hook I've ever seen.  They do make bigger ones, but then they jump the wire size to 4X and it just to danged big---they also market that hook for Penn,,,but again its a little to heavy for live bait fishing like flatheads.

The best method or training for use of circle hooks that I can think of uses about 4 to 10 ft of duct tape around the ankles--do I need to go further with the football helmet so he doesnt hurt himself  grin grin rolleyes
