A couple of my favorites are the Quantum Iron and Cabos,and the Shimano Charter Specials. :grin: I mostly have Abus and a few Penns,I use different ones for different styles of fishing,it aint easy pickin a favorite! :lol:But if I had to pick a go to, it would prolly be a lever drag. :grin:

I like the Penn GTO 220....and all my abu's 6000 7000's..and even the tidewater at times lol, there all good.

Abu 9000 big games for the tourneys on the Missouri River, 6500's for non tourney fishing,  and 6000's for the lakes(unless there's alot of cover, then the 6500's. hasn't failed me yet. The rods do the work

jim your not alone i like my 310 gti. i have it on a 9ft cat maxx rod. to be exact all 9 rods that i use for flats are on cat maxx rods.

I like the ABU7000C3's, I have 8 of them and two ABU9000BG's and I also have some Penns but I like the ABU's better for all around fishing. I replaced the drags in all my reels with the Smoothie drags because they didn't have the carbon matrix except the 9000BG which I think the Smoothie drags are the best drag system you can get.
