Andy,
How about doing a video about the 5 second removal of the level-wind part of a 209 when it messes up in the field? I bet there's lots of people that don't know about it.........

I like that idea. Ive seen to many people with reels completly taken apart trying to fix their level wind. I just thought they were using tears as grease

From a fairly new guys point of view, I'd like to know if there's different scenarios under which different knots works best. Maybe size of hook, type of fishing, size of line... I don't know but I know I use one type of knot for every single type of fishing I do. I can't imagine that's the best way.

It all depends on the style of hook.. the idea is to keep the hook as straight as possible. For a hook with an upturned eye you want to tie a snell underneath of it. For a hook with a downturned eye(such as a baitholder) you want to snell it untop. For a straight eyed hook. A palomar or improved clinch not is usually the way to go.

With the hook being straight on the line.. that leaves more gap and point to sink into the flesh. It also allows the hook to rotate properly when you set the hook. It also keeps the hook and bait from spinning causing twist in your line.
