Hello Everyone
What is the best multi-tool for fishing. I have had a Leatherman before everyone even knew what they were. I always have it in my pack or on my belt while hunting.
The Leatherman is handy and very well made; however, it is cumbersome to get out and open. I watch the Saltwater Journal and the host comes out with a similar tool that flips open. It looks, for what I have seen of it, pretty cool.
I was in the wholesale sporting good business many years ago and we sold the Leatherman. After it was introduced, you could not get them fast enough. Since then I have seen a lot of similar tools and some for specific purposes.
Do any of yall use anything like that and if so, what do you like and why?
Thank you for all your help.

Doug
Sorry I was not clear on what I want to use this for, fooling with fish, line sinkers, etc. I am with you about proper tools on a boat. I am not trying to replace a tool kit. I just want something I can wear on my belt to get hooks out, cut line, or whatever.
Thank you for your reply

I carry a tool box to on my boat. but i would say the basic leatherman should work good with the wire cutter. but the darn pliers sometimes are not long enough

I carry some sort of Gerber but can't remember the model. I've carried it the last 8 years.

Do you have an image of the snap clip system you have on your center console.
What kind of boat do you have? Grits
