Flathunter and I were talking on the phone this morning & were both saying how hard this winter has been & will continue to be for us becasue we can't fish much.

This is by far the hardest time of the year for me. Not only can I not fish for Flatheads but I spend $ (lots of $) every winter. Yes, EVERY WINTER.

If I listed everything I've gotten (either by purchasing or as gifts) my wife would freak out! Granted, I've sold guns, other fishing rods/reels, boating stuff, etc... in order t pay for this, so it's not like I'm taking $ from the family but she would still freak out!

How's the rest of you handle the winter, & I mean those of us who can't got fishing for Blue Cats!

I doubt I could find the stuff I'd want from there! I've began to hate going to the one in Cincinnati.

On a serious note, I'm sure Flathunter & I would be up for a day of fishing! If you guys go somewhere where my 14 foot Tracker can go, we can set something up..... That is as long as Flathuner's wife will let him go!!!!  :)

I agree with Mellon..From december till march I get depresed cause I cant go flatheading..And like him I spend way to much money on new gear and tackle..I would love to catch some Bluecats, it just seems like a dream however..I wish I had them in my back yard like I do flatheads.

IF your serious about that I could spent a few thouand $'s next year & make that happen. I could either upgrade to a 25-40 HP motor OR just go ahead & try to buy the 16 foot Pro Guide that we looke at. We would have to be willing to travel to IN or TN or VA every couple of weeks though! (which means you'd have to drive!)  :P

I said after I bought my Abu 6000 Tourney in Nov/Dec that I was done buying reels.
I said the same thing after I bought my 5600C4 in Dec
I said it again after I bought my 6500C4LE in Dec
I said it again and for the "final" time on Christmas Eve when I bought my 6500 Black Cat

Well......What I MEANT to say was that I was done buying ABU Reels.

Today I just purchased a Penn 309 from Bluegrass Cat. I'll be honest w/ all of you, I said I'd prob never have anything but an Abu. it was because of all the great things you folks have said about Jim;s reels that made me want to get one. Good word of mouth is the best advertising, so keep it up.
