I bought my nephew the spincast seeker. We haven't been able to test on fish yet. He is 12 yrs and need to learn to handle the big rod and reel. He is out of school next week and I plan on taking him out to try it  if the weather cooperates. I am not to sure of the drag when the rig is set to feed the line out.

LOL, She says that this is the year for her big cat. Bless her heart it isn't because she has'nt been trying. I beleive that her new outfit will be the one she catches it on.We do not have the big ones like you James River Boys have. Our really large ones are far and few inbetween!!!

I got the  spincast set up for my nephew. I am rather disapointed in the drag setup. but will have to wait and see how it holds up. It is easier for him to cast than a big spinning outfit.

i saw a fellow using one the other day at the  lake and id say they would be a decent outfit for cats up to 20 lbs and the bite alarm is really cool too !!!   koolsmiley

Sometimes I hear people in the dock with them and they are annoying as hell. From the people I've talked to, the "bite detector" really isn't very accurate at all. Personally, I feel as though I've graduated from anything Zebco has to offer.

Well soon as the Grandbabys are ready to give up their sponge bob rods I will start them on Zebco 33's they are some tough rigs and easy for children to learn to cast  :2wink: smiley
