I went channel catfishing yesterday {8-16-07} at one of my favorite lakes. We got there about 7 to get an early start. Well i like to bass fish so i started doing that an my girlfriend started catfishing.  WE was using shrimp. Not much was happening. I was fishing with a popper and got a hit. Pulled in a 15 in bass. Not that big but eater size. About 5 minutes later my girl friend got a big on bottom. She reeled it in and it was a 19 in bass. Caught 2 more bass and then started catching the cats. We fished till 1 am and in that time we caught 9 channels all keepers. Around 12 we ran out of shrimp and i had some strawberry chicken so we started using it. I got a few bites but my cousin who was with us hooked into some big. He was fishing off the dock and had his pole proped up on his takle box. That fish grab it and started to pull his pole off the dock. he barely got a hold of it. As he is reeling it in it is fighting some then it just stoped. All of the sudden it took off and needless to say it broke his line. Don't know what it was or how big it really was as he didn't get it all the way in. After that we packed up and left. Did i mention that my girlfriend caught that bass on shrimp.

Goes to show ---One never knows what will be caught next or on what!!!!!!! :lol:  :lol:
