A very happy Flathunter just called me. He just landed a 42# Flathead on his old reliable bait: Frozen Shad! (He landed his 50# Flathead on frozen shad too)

I guess the old saying that a blind squirrell can find a nut is true..really this fishing trip was a last second spur of the moment thing and I hooked the fish just 10 minutes after I started fishing..And I think back about all the trips I made this year that were planned, and I fished many hrs for nothing really makes me scratch my head :shock: Oh well this one will get me thru the bad times for awhile.

Jack If we knew when the flathead would bite, and only fished then, we would miss out on a lot of fishing :  : You gotta have lots of patience to get consistent on big flathead.
