I was just checking to see how fishing was around everyone elses area? Dont matter where you are Im just very interested if It slow like here in Ohio. And last sunday very 1st time I ever was asked for my fishing licence. I wonder if that old joke about fishing with a magnet for steelhead would have worked? LOL :ROFL :damnfunny

pretty slow here in southern IN as well. lots of small channels but other than that the big boys and girls are fillin up on them small shad that we have tons of..atleast thats the only explanation i can come up with. same story different year i guess. always slow here this time of year until late august.

really bad here in SW Ohio as well. this is the worst summer i have seen for fishing, and the lowest water levels since the drought of 1988 :cry:

Things are slow here but there are fish being caught. We caught a few last night with the biggest being 33# and when I got back to the dock I weighed a 86# for a guy that was hoping it was a state record, but it needs to eat a few more gizzard shad! :lol:

Pretty slow in Indiana too....I think you are right Kris about them eating all those baby shad. Last time we went to Markland, we only caught some small channels, but their bellies looked like they were ready to explode they were so fat.
