To pick up your trash...The ammount of cans, bottles, bait containers, and just pure junk I am finding at my bank spots this years is amazing..People who do this have no respect for the sport of catfishing at all.

if you cant/dont want to take it with you, BURN IT! even aluminum cans and bottles can be burned to nothing in a small fire. honestly, i recently thought about carrying some heavy duty trash bags and picking up all the aluminum beer and pop cans along the river. my god, i'd make a small fortune!

Every bit of trash I can get to on the river I pick up with the exception ot those lil rain coats (if you know what I am talking about) Some times on the river I will see 4 or 5 of them floating with the tide   Now I know they need to be disposed of propperly just like the rest of the trash, but they pose a health risk so I'm not going to be the one to remove them.

I've noticied that our state seems to be worse than others Jack. I know I've seen some real messes on the banks of the Scioto. It's a shame. I'm not saying the GMR here the SW part of the state is great, but in your area it's even worse.

Fella's it's not just Bank Fishermen that add to the litter problem. Boat Fisherman, Wade Fishermen are included in this as well. Heck all types of fishermen are guilty of this, sad statement but very, very true! The difference is you have people that go outdoor's and then you have "True Outdoorsmen/Sportsmen". By that I mean people that go out with NO respect & honor for the enviroment & what beauty God has gave us all, and then the people that do understand/appreciate that fact. Sadly to say that the true Outdoorsmen/Sportsmen will alway's be cleaning up after the people that just go outdoor's. What's even more sad is the fact is the later will never be able to keep up with the first group and cleaning up what they left behind. It's a vicious never ending thing IMO.

Walmart sells a folding trashcan that is used for camping. I got one for 10 bucks that i take with me every time i go fishing. It folds up just like the chairs do so it don't take up much space and its easy to carry. I agreed with ever one here if you are going to make a mess you should clean it up.

Yep had found a couple new spots on the local river here and had jsut started fishing them when all of a sudden everywhere around there has NO TRESPASSING signs up. There were a lot of partiers out there durning the nights, but I was picking thier trash up hoping to keep it open, but alas to no avail. Another place for a bank fisherman to not get to lose thanks to a bunch of slobs.
