im fishing all of the locations on the river that i usually fish for cats (flatties & channels) and for the past 3 weeks i havent been getting bites !! i mean as we all know you cant catch fish if they dont bite and i just aint getting bit. the temp has been normal 60-70 degrees during the day and low 40s at night and the fish just arent biting. im using all of the normal catfish baits ............creek chubs........bluegills............chicken livers..........shrimp............cut shad and NOTHING  !!! im fishing locations that have always produced in the past !! ive tried DEEP outside bends  around wood and rock and ive fished shallow areas above ripples and neither have produced...............last fall i was catching LOTS of Cats !!  HELP !!!  :?

ANY SUGGESTIONS on LOCATIONS AND BAITS to try ??? Im confused !!!

An old catfish rule says that 90% of catfish are in 10% of the water. In the last 3 weeks it's more or less changed from Summer to Fall, and I would guess that your cats there have moved because of it.
Go find them. Try deeper, shallower, up creeks, down river, up river.
When you find them, you'll catch a bunch. 8)

Hey friend,

here in louisisana when the water temps start falling I usually catch my fish in the small bayous and canals that feed the river rather than the river itself. These canals usually range from 6ft to 10 ft deep. I believe the catfish follow the baitfish up in here to fatten up before winter sets in. every year its the same thing. Once you find them you will catch fish pretty regular for a while . atleast until the winter arrives and they will move back into deeper water. I hope this info helps you.
