i didnt know that we here in Wv even had lampreys... but the other night i  had one of these on a channel cat sucking away..... nasty alien looking lil things!!

heck no i threw it up on the bank..... yeh it was about 10-12 " long and had eyes and those lil things were like teeth......1st time i seen that here in wv but i did some research and Wv has 8 types from what i read....huh? who knew..

Ive ate fish that had lampreys on them before. cheesy The lamprey wasnt attached when we netted the fish,but it was easy to tell where it had a hold of the fish at.I just trimmed well around the spot,and grilled that sucker into the tasty grilled salmon hall of fame!  :2stupid: tongue grin

Ive caught quite a few fish with them in tow in the lower Delaware river. Ugly disgusting creation of satan himself especially when they get up around 30 inches and as fat as a coke can shocked undecided
