What do you all use to keep the mosquito's from making life rough while on the river or lake? Have any of you used the ThermaCell repellent system? I use Cutter bug spray and it works decent but I have to spray the mess on me often to keep them off for a while.....and smoking cigars helps some. What do you all use to keep the bugs from biting?????

What Racn35 said. That stuff has the most percentage of deet of anything on the market. The bounce sheets didn't work for me.

I just smoke about 7 packs of Winston's a night.
With all the coughing I do, the itching doesn't bother me a bit!

I think I'm going to try the ThermaCell system to see how it works.....the Deet products work without a doubt.

Your welcome scooter, bounce seems to work great for me, or maybe it's because I am fishing with ridgerunner and they seem to like him better due to he's about 40lbs more than me. LMBO

i carry a can of OFF with me, but i rarely have to use it. what seems to work for me most of the time is what my great grandfather taught me. build a small fire and get covered in the smoke from the first intitial starting of the fire.  for some reason mosquitos HATE a smoky odor.

Papa Smurf I think it has more to do with the alcohol content of your blood. Even after all these years of not drinkin' I bet your blood is still close to 90 proof. As far as my extra 40 pounds that's just more insulation for the cool fall nights. lol
