Most of the time I use the 8/0 Gamakatsu hooks. Very sharp, wide gap, and strong.

I started using the 10/0 owner circle 6-7 years ago. This is a great hook and if you want to hold a large cat in structure try one. I was using 8/0 gammys ( I was a sponsor ) but these hooks would not hold big cats like the owners. These hooks are not flexible like the kahle or gammys and will hook the fish in the top, side, bottom, corner or in the front lip.The circle hook suppose to hook the fish in the corner of the mouth but about 30-40% of the time it will get hooked in the front lip or top. This is on Blue cats I cant speak for flatheads or channels. 34 blue cats over 70 lbs.up to 83 lbs.in 2007

I have also started using the Owner 10/0 ssw circle. I like them a lot better than the Gama 8/0 except the price I am going to be trying the Black and Blue hooks in 10/0 soon I hear they are better than the Owners. Staying sharper longer but only time will tell.

Well Iam into using circlehooks too much. For J-hooks I like Egaleclaw widegap hooks 4/0. The Ultra Point hooks are really good too. Biggun catfish hooks 5-6/0.

Same here, the only bad/good thing about them is they're hard to remove sometimes....

I use Team catfish 8/0 hooks and 12/0 Black and Blue each depending on conditions and yes they are both my sponsors and I think they are the best hooks on the market thats why I fish with them. Gammas are Junk and Owners cost two much and have issues also. I have increased my hookup rate by 100% since changing to these two brands. I have tried many other hooks and done extensive testing on each. Mustad has some good hooks that work well in current but u have to sharpen them, Eagle Claw has nothing that impressed me but there size and they also rust, Gamma too many Issues, Owner cost alot and fish come off and the hooks dont set as deep as others. I dont use Kahle's ever! If fishing for Flatheads I use 8/0 Team Catfish hooks and cross their eye's. One advantage in using the Team Catfish hooks are you can let the rod load in the rod holder or set the hook. It is the only hook that I have used that you can fish either way and still get 95% hook ups and not have them pop off on the way to the boat. I put my reputation on these Brand hooks and have done the testing to prove they work! :2wink:

Cataholic, If you have used a 10/0 owner and now you are trying the others, You'll switch back. I have tryed that type hook but with a different name and after 22 years of catfishing, 15 years guiding with over 1559 trips logged I can say also my reputation is at stake. :afro:
