guess im gonna go hit the cove. its a cove to a big public reservoir here on the out skirts of town and it use to be part of the river until they damed it off{oxbow lake},its about 300yrds behind a guys house he has givin me permission to park in his yard since thats the only way to access it unless you have a boat,he also said i can use his 10' boat that he has stored up there and i reckon im going to use that to drop baits and ill just fish from the bank. this place has got some huge flats and ive caught some nice blues from other parts of the lake so i have the chance to catch blues, flats and channels but my main target will be flats.

Hovey Lake?

nope, its about 45min from hovey east near the newburgh dam,use to be able to access from the river but cant anymore{atleast not that i know of} and the boat ramp was closed do to someone getting hurt so now you have to drop your boat into the creek or know someone on the edge of the res. that will let you launch from there, this place isnt as big as hovey, maybe 1/2 the size but its still a good size res. i think the name is cypress creek reservoir but im not sure if thats the official name or just what us locals call it.
have you guys ever fished hovey? its a great place to fish but at times can be very over whelming, lots of structure and some awesome features.
