I do not know what is going on with the gills.  I see plenty while fishing for them but cant get them to take enough of the hook to get them in the boat.  I have been up 3 times and had trouble with them twice.  The other time I caught plenty in short order.

Bowhunter is correct.  I think I will  catch at home and ship up there next time.  Saves a heck of alot of time.

In my opinion, bluegills are in trouble because of the flatheads.  Balance thing I guess.  I have been fishing at Burnsville for years and am seeing alot more pressure specifically for flatheads.  There have always been catfisherman but not many rigged for big ones.  Word is getting around.  This will take a toll on the fish and perhaps the bluegills will rebound.
