Hey i've been fishing all my life i'm 19 so i got lots more fishing to do..lol
I have caught big fish but only every once in a while and really the only biggest fish
i have really ever caught are Carp i have caught catfish many times before but not
big BIG ones and i  really want to caught one... i live in Maryland there is a river i go to an there are Giant cats in that river last time i went i was with my dad and brothers and my dad hooked a giant cat an he faught that cat for 2 hours an we only got to see the head ..( the line brooke) talk about being mad....lol we were useing worms for bait.

So i know there are like 400 kinds of different baits people use to catch the big ones
and i wanna know them all...lol so if you wanna share your method in catching the Giant cats PLEASE!! share them  i would love to see an be able to use thos methods myself and it would be good cuz others will see to an it's always good to change it up an try a new baith method don't you think?

So tell me what Bait and Method do you use??

First off welcome to the site Fishing88!

For blues here on the James nothing wrks better than fresh cut gizzard shad!

Check this link out it has a lot to teach about different baits.

if your fishing anywhere above great falls there is not but two baits---hellgramites and large crawfish...drift em around the boulders, rock ledges,,,,your gonna catch a lot of bass, gills and other things,,,but the cats love those two baits starting around the 10th of May till fall.

Always remember 1 thing:

#1. Anything that smells nasty &/or a big 'ol mess of nightcrawlers for Channel cat.
#2. Cut bait for Blue cats.
#3. Live bait for Flathead cats. Bluegill, skipjack, creek chubs.

Thats the method I use & I do pretty darn good.

I usually use a Carolina rig  with the weight on mainline a strong swivel and 18 to 24 inch leader with a 7/0 circlehook  ;) 8)

and this is how I like to hook my cutbait  8)
