Got this one on a red horse sucker in 3 ft of water while fishing alone in the newly remodeled canoe ramp that used to be the Mudhole! Was trying to test out my new outfits and wouldnt ya know it,I caught it on my ol reliable 6500c4 on a 11' CatMaxx pole.

Aint that the truth! If I had to bet if any fish were gonna be caught that night,my money would have been on the skunk! The river was already at its lowest point in quite awhile and was on the drop.Plus with the lack of current back in the creeks I was real suprised when a bluecat of all fish came ashore where I was fishing that night. huh cheesy

Has anyone been getting out? My busted starter and fuel pump in the 'ol Chrysler forced me to take a short break,so I decided to just go ahead and get Flatcatnightmare to paint my boat and motor while I wait on parts   cool Got the starter today, and it dosent fit! Its also been raining all day so no painting either! tickedoff I will try and take some pics, but shes a fat girl and takes up so much of the garage its hard to scoot back far enough to get any pics! ROFL  grin I think Im gonna have to sneak in some bank fishing soon! This rain isnt supposed to let up for a couple days!   rolleyes

Maybe now we are gonna get some of that much needed current to turn this river over and get those biggins to start slamming baits down have a tournament the 20th and was hoping for some current looks good for now will know in three days, that's how long it takes for waters to travel from Pa to Cinn.

Haven't been able to get out ourselves for a couple of weeks. The Scioto is at a very low point. Even with all the high water all summer . Still not able to travel over to the Cinninnatti area...Wanting to take Mama to the Boat for the slots and while she is there maybe I can catch up with you guys.... angel

I finally got out Saturday night for some bank fishing. The cast net wasnt much help, and mostly all our bait had to be obtained on R&R. But thats cool, more fun for me!  cheesy We wrangled up a few white bass, crappies and bluegills to go with the few shad we could find, and set up a spot in the main stem with some deeper water access we havent fished from the bank in quite a while.First a small channel, then a 15# gar that took a swing at me and put a good hit in on my left hand! I was really suprised how fast and how hard it hit me!  tickedoff I didnt quite bleed out,so I kept fishing and soon after had a good run and a hook-up on a white bass fillet. It looked like a channel but the fin said it was a bluecat but he hadnt been feeding well as his head was alot bigger in proportion to the rest of his body. We guessed him at 13# and put him back to go hit the shad buffet. An hour later and a good fight and another bluecat came ashore and pulled the scales to 24.6# Ive got all the pics on my phone, and as soon as I figure how to get them on,I'll post them.  grin
