Well I know it is a bit early yet but I am hoping this hot spell has brought some blues out of spawn. My dad and myself are going to give it a shot for a while tonight. The length of time depends on how long I can stand sitting in the boat  rolleyes Hopefully the pills will allow me to sit around for more than a couple hours. I can't throw the throw net so cutters and whatever I can catch with worms will be the bait of choice unless my dad feels up to trying the throw net for some candies. I will have a full report either later tonight when I get home or tomorrow morning.

Wish us luck!!!

Well bait was easy, one set of the net for 10 minutes gave us 10 nice cutters. First hole in 8' of water in a secondary channel surface temps reaching 90 we had a couple good runs that acted like gar  tickedoff After a couple hours we moved to deeper water fishing humps in 15' caught 5 dinks between 5# and 10#. A couple more hours went by with no good take downs so we moved to a nice channel ledge fishing from 4' to 35' and only got more dinks  rolleyes The water temps in the main channel was 88 so they should be done with their  smitten All in all it was a beautiful night fishing with only one other boat in sight..... Well it was a ocean going barge  grin Light winds kept the bugs and humidity from making it suck now only if the big boys wanted to play!
