I went from fishing the bright lit night of a full moon to fishing the dark night of no moon. My dad and me launched out of Hopewell around 7pm yesterday evening to an outgoing tide. Started off getting 8 or 9 cutters easily then 5 or 6 white perch. Hit the first hole in 60' of water waiting for the sun to go down completely. Fished there for about an hour with only a couple nibbles on the white perch. Once the sun was gone we went back to some lights and threw the net for some more white perch. First throw hung something on bottom and ripped the net

we did catch about 5 more nice size white perch even with the net having 2 huge holes in it. Then we headed for shallow water and found some nice humps in 7' of water. Set up on them with an incoming tide. The white perch were getting nailed as soon as they hit the water but no takers. After about an hour and a half I had a nice run on a big chunk of gizzard shad. The clicker was screaming before I locked the reel down and the rod doubled over. The outcome was this hard fighting 33#'r

Not long after I had another hard run on cutters and up came this 32#'r after another good fight.

I didn't even have time to get that rod back in the water when my dads rod was bent to the water with drag peeling off of the reel. He got this fiesty 23#'r

All the fish had what looked like spawn marks on them with open wounds.
Then as soon as they turned on they turned back off and we spent the rest of the night fishless. It was a good night until the ride back around 3:30 when my ancient Chrysler sounded like it was going to puke and we had to make it back to the dock on 1 cylinder
