Went out this morning to badin. I did manage afew blues, even though there was a good NE wind blowing. For blues I got a 4,30 and a 33lber. Also caught afew channel cats. Shad were alittle hard to find this morning. There was only one other boat up river this morning. Water temp was still at 57*.

I fished wed and thru. Man I had a great time. I caught 3 flatheads 16,12,8 also caught a 10.5 channel. I caught about 30 overall but not 1 blue.....Why? I fished up river. and after spending hours looking for bait I started fishing around 4 am. I went to alcoa, very slow to catch bait. I also went to Machine Branch...wow I didnt have a clue where to look in that gaint cove. I passed them bouys out in the middle between Machine Branch and the cut thru at Palmer Island. I was probably 30 yards from it and depth finder started droping like a rock. I slowed to a crawl and turned further away and guees what....It was a rock. I bumped it but no damage done. If you pass them bouys give them plenty of room, I dont know if rock is that big or bouys have drifted but I thought I had gave them plenty of room. I'm going back saturday. when yall get tired of the easy fish at Tilllery yall come back to Badin for some real fishing instead of that catching yall do.

I tried to take pictures, you couldnt read the scale. I took pictures by myself, I need more practice.(excuses) besides your up around 200+ pounds. I need bigger fish to compete. I am heading back tonight with Moose so maybe I'll have decent pictures tomorrow....maybe. congrats on your and CMJs fish you are wearing them out. To bad Buck didnt enter he would be up there with yall. see ya

Jerry them flatheads are worth 2 point per pound and them channels are worth 5 points per pound. blues only 1 point per pound. so 5 channels at 10 lbs each you will be right there with me. Its not over yet. I dont think blues will win overall myself. I think it will take flatheads and you on em. i need 3 more myself over 50lbs. hey rig you something up so you hang the fish and then step back and take the picture. I working on that and it helps me alot taking the pictures by myself.

I fished Badin last night and today and did pretty good. Started off hunting flatheads, got 4, a 20 lb, 17 lb., 15 lb., and 12 lb. Flathead mission accomplished, no hawgs, but I'll take it. Then I started looking for blues, found two, a 35 lb. and a 15 lb. fish. also got a 4 lb. striper, about a dozen channel cats and a few whites and bullheads. I stayed busy out there. biggest five was 102 lb. I got a pic of the big blue, but I need to get the film developed, will post it when I get it done.

Congrates rookie12. Another good night like that at badin in the NCCATS and you might be taking home the 1000.00 prize. Thats the best night fishing report i have heard this year. Of coarse some are holding tight on information at this point i feel sure.

Hey, I'll tell you I caught 'em, but where is another story. They are definatley in the water. Everything I caught this weekend was in the water. That should be enough hint for ya'll to find some fish, naw, I do think I got 'em figured out though. I hope!
