I am back from my Vacation and now I can get some rest  cheesy I should have know it was going to be an adventure before we left I took the Pathfinder in to get the transmission rebuilt supposed to take a week so I waited 10 days and call them seems like it wasn't right and he says he has to pull the valve body back out and check it we still had a week before we left so I told him no problem but I wanted it back by Thursday June 26th cause we would be leaving on Friday for 2 weeks so you know I didn't get it. So we head to the CreekHouse get unloaded and the water is to low to keep the Cattoon at the Dock so we rent a slip at Scarbourghs for the 2 weeks then I get the weather report and have to postpone the WWP Tournament my little Brother's nephew in law had came down from Virgina with a buddy to fish the Tourny so I tryed to take us out to Drift fish on Sat morning but the cattoon wouldn't idle so we ended up pulling the carbs and found the top carb float valve was stuck got that fixed my brother Jack had his 21ft cuddycabin in and he took Paul and his grandson Parker with him and I had Louis with me but ended up spinning in circles with the wind so we decided to try some bottom fishing and ended up with a gar and a huge turtle so we headed in and decided to see how bad it was going to be that evening we took the Cattoon out and the wind started kicking up and I headed right back in as it started white capping in Wyboo we sat on the Cattoon in the slip and watched the Storm roll in and it was spectacular winds were gusting up to 60 mph the rain was so heavy you couldn't see 20ft than the hail started and the lightning was crashing around us and like idiots we sat on the Cattoon and got soaked watching it  cheesy crazy The worsted of the Storm passed by 10pm. A couple of weeks ago I had taken Parker's sister Georgie out and she caught a 17lb Flathead and I had promised Parker I would take him next time and he wasn't about to let me forget it and since we were already soaked and they had to leave the next day we decided to head out and give it a try. With that wind we weren't going far so I headed to the Jackson hole and setup about 30 min's later my rod on the back slammed down and we had Parker standing on the Battery box fighting the cat that turned out to be a 17lb Flathead just like his sister's and he was proud of it and then he told us he was ready to go home  grin grin and that was the only fish of the night we headed in. The next night Lisa Chef Jim Penny and I waited out the next Storm and headed out to do a little night fishing on a muscle bed I know of and ended up on a sandbar  rolleyes cheesy got unstuck and got setup and ended up with 2 blues 25lb and 5lb but I had forgot the camera  crazy . My Brother Donnie and nephew Big Jake showed up the next day with his boat. We went out the next morning and caught a bunch of white perch for bait and tried some driftfishing got one drift in and the wind died and it was in the high 90's  tongue so we setup deep and tried some bottom fishing with no luck but my GPS went out  tickedoff we headed in. That evening we decided to try the anchor hole off of Randolf's it was calm with just a little wind we got setup caught some more bait and Big Jake ended up catching 2 nice blue's and then the wind shifted and it blew us off the lake it was whitecapping with 3 to 4ft waves we pulled anchors and made a run for it and it got worse we took a beating getting around to Wyboo got back to Scarbough's and tied up and the lites wouldn't shut off ended up unhooking the Batt and calling it a night. The next morning we started checking it out and found out the left front nav light had shifted and shorted out the whole lightning wiring system and had fried the switch  shocked huh called around and found a new switch and ended up replacing all the wires and the switch and we headed out that evening got setup with no luck so decided to move and the motor didn't want to crank no problem thats why I carry a spare it wouldn't turn the motor at all I switched back and got lucky and the motor started and we headed in and the next day when I charged up the Batt's the spare had a bad cell so I replaced it.   angry tickedoff  The next day we decided to take the 2 center consoles out of John C Land landing over by Taw Caw creek and it was hot and the Wife's boat wouldn't crank checked the batt and found out there wasn't a drain hole in the Batt box and it was full of water draining the Batt but we had a spare with us and swapped them out and got her cranked up we spent 4 hours frying finally caught about a 6oz channel and a couple of perch but everybody and their brother that had a boat and a tube or ski's plus all the jet ski's were out playing and 90 percent of them had no clue how to operate a boat safely they were cutting people off circling in the channel hauling kids across sandbars in less than 2ft of water we just knew someone was going to get hurt after having a couple of Ladies in a new pontoon cut between us and the shore we called it a day and headed home tried to charge the CC batt it was dead so bought another Batt  rolleyes  Do y'all see a pattern here  sad any how not one to give up we rested up and headed out that evening after the storm we were there 2 weeks and only had 2 nights it didn't storm  crazy tried to setup and the depthfinder decided to quit it went into a self test mode and stayed there  tickedoff angry so we setup anyway and ended up with 3 cats all around 20lb's. The next morning Lisa's got online and ordered me a new Lowrance LMS520c but with the 4th coming up we didn't know if it would get to the CreekHouse while we were still there and didn't want it to go the other house with out some one being there to receive it so she had it sent to my buddy Mark's house.  cool we spent the next day doing yard work and straightening out the shop so we could put the wave runner in it. Lisa went to Wally world to get a weed eater so we would have one at the CreekHouse and she bought a Poulan that takes all kinds of attachments its nice pulled it out of the Box set it up got it cranked and it had a bad carb had to keep it choked to run  shocked tickedoff so drained it put it back in the box and decided to take the wave runner out made sure the batt was charged and cranked it up at the house with the way our luck was running I wasn't taking anymore chances  rolleyes grin got to Scarbough's launched it it fired right up Lisa and big Jake got on it to take a ride and while idling out of the no wake zone flipped it  shocked got it turned back up but couldn't get back up on it so they swam it back in now to give it credit it fired right back up but Big Jake wouldn't have anything to do with it after that  grin Lisa took it out and found out it was a lot faster than she thought it would be and with all the wakes and other boats it was more than she wanted to handle so we loaded it up and headed home  smiley we went out that evening the wind was blowing 10 to 15 knots so we decided to go hide behind an island at the mouth of potato creek got set up and caught 3 nice blues from 15 to 20lb's when the wind shifted 90 deg's and started gusting up to about 30 knots and we turned tail and ran we got back to Scarbough's just as the bottom fell out again the next day we decided to try for some bait but the Cattoon decided it had enough it would high idle in neutral but it would die when you tried to shift it by this time I am a little frustrated so we took the night off and of course it was a beautiful night light winds no rain  tickedoff tickedoff the next morning went down and pulled the carbs figuring that was the problem but they seemed fine put it back together and same problem  huh said to heck with it and we went out anyway we didn't go far but we did catch 5 nice blues 10 to 22lb's and limped it back in next morning we loaded the Cattoon up found out it had a bent blade on the prop and took it to Jimmy over at CJ's and asked him to fix it. We swapped out the weed eater and finally got a good one and finished that job by now I had about all the Vacation I could stand so we decided to go home a day early but Donnie Big Jake and I decided to take Lisa's CC out for one more try that evening the wind was blowing again and on the ride out to get some bait we got cut off by some kids in 2 of those wakeboard boats  that looked like the were playing tag and when we hit the wakes it tossed everything everywhere including my coffee all over Lisa's depthfinder killing it  cheesy we caught some bait and decided to get in from the wind so we setup by the Bob Cooper camp we ended up with Donnie catching a 25lb Blue than the wind did a famous Santee shift 180 degrees and picked up till it was whitecapping in Wyboo and started putting waves in the boat now this wasn't my first rodeo and I wasn't to worried but Big Jake wasn't happy  grin grin I showed him how to shift the anchor robes to spin us around and we pulled them in and headed in when we got to Scarboroghs  it started to rain I pulled in to let Donnie off to get the trailer and he liked to got run over by Big Jake getting off the boat  cheesy grin then the bottom fell out by the time we got the boat loaded I might as well have been swimming and I had my cell phone in my shirt pocket its dead  crazy by the time we got back to the house it quit raining  huh but we were thru  grin grin we got everything cleaned up and loaded and headed back to Beech Island Thursday evening  got everything unloaded and went to go pick up the Pathfinder and guess what its not ready they got tied up on other jobs and just didn't finish mine needless to say they are well aware of my displeasure and promised it would be done today tickedoff tickedoff evil
So there you have it top that People  grin grin koolsmiley

Went over to get the Pathfinder at 5pm and they hadn't touched it from Thursday and I took it Personal and had a meaning of Life according to Doug Meeting in the Parking Lot with the 2 Owners its one thing to BS old Ladies and Suits but I have been a mechanic for over 30 years and their BS wasn't flying with me and I called them on it in a very Loud and angry manner they didn't like it but since I am a little larger than the average Bear and they didn't have a good excuse for taking 6 weeks to rebuild a Trans we have come to an understanding it will be ready by Wednesday or I will have a rollback there picking it up and they won't get a Dime from me  evil stay tuned to see if they can get it this ready this time  angry

Wow sounds like I was having more fun having to work during that time.

You shouldn't have anymore bad luck for a couple years at that rate.

I think I would rather stay home than have that vacation and the car thing you should tell them it had better be free when you pick it up. Tell them if not they will be hearing from your lawyer, may not be free but bet they will want to deal.

I believe that's part of the problem I have them locked into a price for the rebuild which is 450 to 500 bucks cheaper than normal around here for a 4x4 and they thought they could play games and run the price up and it didn't work  evil tickedoff koolsmiley
